I guess you could not get in Zizzerman...

Try to get Jan tomorrow and see what he can do.

I'm hoping that this doesn't happen to everyone.

Can you PM me...maybe I can help.

Thank you Jan...for all you hard work on this.

I have helped a little by moving some files around but it should be noted that your explanation of what you have done diminishes the true effort you have put forth.

This change is so involved that it normally would be done by a paid professional. You have to understand the fundamentals of how a server functions and how to integrate this new powerful software.

It has taken longer to do the switch than previously stated but the end result will sure be worth it!

Guys Jan thinks BIG...and BIG we got!!!

Thanks bud  Smiley

A little update about the new forum software:

What still needs to be done:
  • Insert missing attachments in posts

Known bugs (cannot be solved):

  • For security reasons all users have a temporary password => registered users have to get through the 'lost password' function and get a new password via E-mail
  • Avatars have to be added manually by user
  • Private messages couldn't be moved => all users should save important content of their PMs!

New features (already working):
  • Blogs
  • Image Gallery
  • Picture Albums (private and public)
  • Picture posting with forum software (auto resize), Imageshack and Photobucket
  • Classifieds
  • Chat
  • Extended profile and friendship functions
  • Article-based CMS, allows Admins to publish content, which can be commented and linked at the forum
  • Better poll system
  • Calendar
  • Find new posts since your last personal logout with one click on the "whats new"-tab
  • Advanced search
  • Google maps integration
  • E-Mail Newsletter
  • User can thank other users for posts => reputation feature

Finished work:
  • Setup database and webspace
  • Import all users
  • Import forums
  • Import posts
  • Import attachments
  • Correct usernames
  • Add custom profile fields
  • Define usergroups
  • Delete false import data
  • Added smiles
  • Style change
  • Create favicon
  • Modify header
  • Create and insert custom forum icons
  • Optimize forum icons
  • Adjust layout
  • Import custom features (Gallery, Newsletter, etc)
  • Extend the 'quick reply'-feature
  • Make MP3 attachments playable with forum software
  • Add link to the old forum
  • Disable guest access to downloads/attachments
  • Install personal statistics status bar for forum
  • Install advanced admin functions

The new forum will be opened during the next week. The old forum will still be readable (through a linked button at the new forum) until 30th of September 2010. I'd like to thank stealthbob for all his time and work he is spending/doing for us!
